Finding community in Malaga 🤎

Remember the Black Women in Malaga community I started back in November? We’re already at almost 300 members 😱! Wild. I’m so grateful. We recently did a line dancing class together (taught by a Black instructor at a Black-owned gym!), a lunch, then did a loooong beach walk back to the city center together. I’m genuinely so sad to be leaving in just over a month’s time…but I’ll figure out how to make my return soon enough! It’s time that I bloom where I’m planted 🌱

I’m going to country #32 next week and it is…… Turkiye! 🇹🇷

My partner (who is the epitome of a romantic) decided that we’re spending Valentine’s Day next week in Istanbul, and who am I to deny him of this desire 🤣? We’ll go for a few days and do a food tour, a history tour, and wander around the beautiful city. If you have any recommendations, reply to this email and let me know!

My business glow up in 2025 so far ✨

It’s been an excellent year for my business so far, friend! I’m super grateful for this because I struggled a bit last year with mindset, focus, and clarity. So far in 2025, I’ve bypassed 10K followers on Instagram (a MAJOR goal of mine), secured a long-term brand partnership, and even hired an executive assistant to help pitch me to brands! I’d say my success so far is because of three things:

1) I’ve worked to overcome limiting beliefs that had me thinking I wasn’t capable of being successful.

2) I had to get really clear on my “why” and my very unique offering/niche to the market (that’s where my Liberty Leave/career break course & community come in!). Join the waitlist if you haven’t already 👀.

3) I got a no-bullsh*t mentor to remind me when I’m getting distracted or focusing too much on perfection. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “done is better than perfect”. I originally wanted to get a business coach, but the few I’m interested cost ~$10,000+ for 3-6 months of working together, and that’s unfortunately not in my budget yet. I found another option via The Forum for $300 CAD and it’s been one of my best investments yet! I highly recommend looking into this option.

• The “2025 State of Digital Nomads” report has been released and this is the exact type of data that I geek out over. Did you know the average nomad is a 36 year old white, single, heterosexual, man that earns ~$85,000 USD per year? • A new list for the world’s most affordable countries has been released! Review the list here. I’ve been to the number one pick 5 times already and I can confirm that it’s both affordable for those with CAD or USD and the quality of life is incredible 🔥!

• If you’ve ever considered moving to the United Kingdom or to Spain, some new policies coming into effect might sway you even more! 200 UK companies just signed up for a permanent 4-day workweek with no loss of pay for staff (details here), and Spain ministers just agreed to cut the legal working week to 37.5 hours (details here).
